1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or accessing ReadyToPermit / CDL Prep (accessible via https://readytopermit.com/ and official app stores), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the application or services.
2. License & Educational Usage
ReadyToPermit (CDL Prep) is granted to you under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license solely for personal educational test preparation purposes.
- Scope of Content: Study materials, practice questions, flashcards, audio read-outs, and exam simulations cover Class A, Class B, Class C, and CDL endorsements (Air Brakes, HazMat, Tanker, Combination Vehicles, Doubles/Triples, Passenger, and School Bus) across all 51 US states.
- No Passing Guarantee: While our question banks and study modules are continuously updated to match current exam standards, passing practice tests in the app does not guarantee passing official state DMV/BMV exams.
- Intellectual Property & Restrictions: You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or distribute the study questions, codebase, or application assets without prior written consent from ReadyToPermit.
3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
- In-App Services: Premium features, state-specific PDF guides, unlimited practice exams, audio read-aloud (TTS), and ad-free access are unlocked via Google Play In-App Purchases (
com.android.vending.BILLING).
- Payment Processing: All financial transactions and payment processing are handled securely by Google Play. ReadyToPermit does not collect, store, or process your payment card numbers.
- Subscriptions & Refunds: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Google Play account settings. Refunds are processed in accordance with Google Play's standard refund policies.
4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Application and its contents are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReadyToPermit and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this app or study materials.

1. Information We Collect & How We Use It
- Anonymous Diagnostics & Crash Logs: We utilize Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose technical bugs, monitor performance, and understand aggregate usage trends. This data cannot be used to personally identify you.
- Device & Network Identifiers: We collect non-sensitive device identifiers (such as anonymous installation tokens/UUID) and approximate IP addresses for anti-fraud protection, server security, rate-limiting, and managing unlocked in-app feature states.
- Local Storage: Your test scores, bookmarks, question history, chosen state/class, and offline manual files are stored directly on your device via SQLite and shared preferences.
- No Personal Identity Data: We do not collect names, physical addresses, government IDs, Social Security numbers, or phone numbers.
2. Advertising & Third-Party Partners
To provide free study materials, the Application displays advertisements via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
- AdMob may collect anonymized device identifiers and usage metrics to serve compliant, privacy-respecting advertisements.
- GDPR / CCPA / Consent: Users in applicable jurisdictions are provided with an integrated consent management form to configure personalized or non-personalized advertising preferences.
3. Multi-Language & Translation Processing
When you select multilingual translations, translation models from Google ML Kit process text directly on-device without transmitting study queries to external translation brokers.
4. Security & Data Retention
All communication between the application and our servers is strictly conducted over encrypted HTTPS / TLS connections. We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

In accordance with Google Play Developer Policy and transparency guidelines, here is a complete breakdown of every Android permission declared in CDL Prep (AndroidManifest.xml) and the specific reason for its use:
Required to download state CDL handbook PDFs, stream audio / fetch question updates, load AdMob advertisements, and transmit crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics.
Allows the app to check whether the device has an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection before attempting to download state manuals or load online study assets, preventing unnecessary data errors.
Integrates with the official Google Play In-App Billing system to allow users to purchase premium subscriptions, remove ads, and unlock state-specific CDL practice exams.
Used to deliver optional daily study reminders, test streak alerts, and critical CDL manual regulation updates via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Can be disabled at any time in system settings.
Provides instant tactile / haptic feedback when selecting answers during practice exam simulations and for notification alerts.

1. Source of Information
Our study questions, flashcards, and exam materials are derived from publicly available state commercial driver handbooks, regulations under Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR), and official DMV / FMCSA guidelines published for public education.
2. Educational Aid Only
- The official Commercial Driver's License (CDL) exams and Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) certification are administered exclusively by authorized state licensing agencies and registered training providers.
